This is what i wish was true
and further, what i hope for
when my eyes, are alive, darting from
point to point, a more striking blue
than ever, transfixed on the
snow and sea of stars in our obsidian sky:-
Unbridled knowledge, that
those hungry to know are fed and
as a result accrue the integrity
the most dilligent of our fathers promised us.
Complete tolerance that we may
understand the choices of our sisters
and continue to miss them when
they love someone who is different than us.
Explanations for all the hurt
that has, burdened thinkers
spanning the ages, afflicted
and ground down our brothers
and drove our mothers to tears and early graves.
The ability to prise the wry smiles
off our bitter faces and find once
more the innocence and unrelenting
love we once cherished in the children we live for.
It is then this, that i wish for-
the
unending
pursuit
of
an
altruistic
betterment.
